Learning English is fun, but it can also be challenging at times. It’s these times when your motivation can be at its lowest. Many English students reach a point, where they see little or no improvement and can feel like they are getting nowhere. At school, exams were the bane of my life. They required hours and hours of tedious study. They were always on the horizon, and no sooner had you passed one, than it was time to start preparing for the next one.

So you'd think that after I left school, I wouldn't want to go near an exam again, let alone start going around telling people how great they are. But actually, when it comes to learning English, taking an exam is one of the best things you can do to keep up your progress and extend your learning.
